Már a <em>Maigret csapdát állít</em>ban is láttam, de akkor még, úgy látszik, nem hittem el teljesen, hogy milyen remek, vagy mondhatni csak rövid távon. John Simenon azt nyilatkozta egyszer, Atkinsonnak semmi köze Mr. Bean-hez, azért tetszett neki azonnal Maigret szerepében. Nos, ez nem egészen így van, az viszont biztos, hogy a brit színész egészen csodálatosan alakítja a francia felügyelőt. Egy tömbből faragott, valósággal a pipájához van nőve, ritkán szólal meg, és olyankor súlya van a szavának. A <em>Maigret és a halott gyémántkereskedő</em> után végleg kiderült a számomra, és én el is hittem, hogy Atkinson olyan telitalálat a szerepre, mint amilyen valamikor Bruno Cremer volt.</span></p><p style="font-family:nerislight;color:#48484a;font-size:16px;line-height:20px;text-align:left;margin-bottom:19px;display:block;"><span style="color:#48484a;display:block;font-family:nerislight;font-size:16px;line-height:20px;margin-bottom:19px;text-align:left;">Még nagyobb meglepetés vagy inkább rátalálás, hiszen eddig még semmiben nem láttam, Koen de Bouw. Ez a belga színész egészen megörvendeztetett. A <em>T. professzor </em>alkotói a <em>Monk</em>ból ihletődhettek – az amerikai ugyan nem egyetemi tanár, de sokkal rigolyásabb, mint a belga, talán ezért nem tudtam hitelesnek elfogadni soha, pedig Tony Shalhoub is jó színész. T. professzor gumikesztyűben jár, mindent, amihez hozzáér, lefúj valamilyen szerrel, a lakásában is le vannak takarva a tárgyak, sanzonokat hallgat, nagy sakkozó, szerelmi csalódása a főfelügyelőhöz fűzi, és pillanatnyilag Annelies Donckers nyomozó tetszik neki távolról. De Bouw arca és alakja is olyan, hogy rögtön feldereng egy arrogáns, pszichotikus ember személyisége. És olyankor, amikor belefáradtam mindenbe, ami szerzők, kéziratok, szerkesztők, korrektorok és folyóiratok, igazán jól fog az ilyesmi.</span></p></p>\n"
