Az egyik azért, mert túl későn vált gyanússá számára az egyébként túl gyorsan menekültstátushoz jutott szír terrorista, a másik azért, mert képtelen volt kézre keríteni a feltételezett, majd szökése után bizonyosan terroristának bizonyult személyt. Az öngyilkosságot lehetővé tevő mulasztásokról nem is beszélve.</span></span></p><p><span style="color:#48484a;display:block;font-family:nerislight;font-size:16px;line-height:20px;margin-bottom:19px;text-align:left;">A kudarcélményt az is fokozta, hogy végül nem a rendfenntartók, hanem maguk a szírek fosztották meg szabadságától a náluk átmeneti szállásért folyamodó „honfitársat”. A három szírt természetesen hősnek minősítették. És természetesen arc nélkül, mert nekik maguknak is rettegniük kell a Németország-szerte számolatlanul tovább lappangó dzsihadistáktól. A hangsúly azonban továbbra is az „óvintézkedésekre” esett. A Bundestagban – hírek szerint – törvényjavaslatot terjesztenek elő, amelynek egyik pontja az, hogy a hatóság már a gyanú alapján is bárkit őrizetbe vehessen, azaz ha gyanússá válik, akár egy német állampolgárt is pusztán a meggyőződései miatt le lehessen tartóztatni.</span></p><p><span style="color:#48484a;display:block;font-family:nerislight;font-size:16px;line-height:20px;margin-bottom:19px;text-align:left;">A gáttalan Wilkommenskultur hónapjaiban azt nem volt tanácsos kimondani, hogy a felelőtlenül az országra zúdított menekülttömegben terroristák is lehetnek. Ma mintha azt nem volna tanácsos túl lelkesen ünnepelni, hogy a terroristát maguk a – lassan testületileg terroristagyanússá váló – szírek buktatták le, hiszen ez egyben a német rendfenntartók szégyene is.</span></p><p><span style="color:#48484a;display:block;font-family:nerislight;font-size:16px;line-height:20px;margin-bottom:19px;text-align:left;">Pedig nyilvánvaló: a terroristaellenes küzdelem mindaddig merőben reménytelen vállalkozás lesz, amíg a terroristákat maguk a muszlimok ki nem közösítik. Sőt, a rendfenntartó szervek túlzott „hatékonysága”, egészen pontosan az erre irányuló – sok esetben mániákussá fajult – igyekezet inkább ellenhatást válthat ki, semmint a német állam iránti rokonszenvet.</span></p><p><span style="color:#48484a;display:block;font-family:nerislight;font-size:16px;line-height:20px;margin-bottom:19px;text-align:left;">Aligha vonható kétségbe, hogy a dzsihadisták csak és csakis azért válhatnak képessé öngyilkos merényleteikre, mert úgy vélhetik: mögöttük áll gyakorlatilag a teljes muszlim közösség. E nélkül a feltételezett hátország nélkül merényletük értelmét veszítené. Márpedig botorság lenne azt feltételezni, hogy ezek az emberek pusztán vallási elvakultságból cselekszenek. A mi, racionalitástól átitatott korunkban őket is inkább valamiféle politikai racionalitás vezérelheti. Egyrészt manapság már a politikát is mélyen átitató bosszúvágy, másrészt az az óhaj, hogy legalább utólagos értelmet adjanak merőben értelmetlen életüknek.</span></p><p><span style="color:#48484a;display:block;font-family:nerislight;font-size:16px;line-height:20px;margin-bottom:19px;text-align:left;">Ilyen rettenetes bosszúvágyat persze csak rettenetes sérelmek alapozhatnak meg. Azok azonban, sajnos, fölösen vannak. A nagyhatalmak (az Orosz birodalmat is beleértve) évszázadok óta mindent megtesznek azért, hogy a muszlim elkeseredettséget elviselhetetlenné fokozzák. A megaláztatásokat csakis ők, a nagyhatalmak tehetnék jóvá. Mindenekelőtt azzal, hogy az arab országokat többé nem tekintik saját hatalmi ambícióik tárgyainak vagy eszközeinek. (Hogy milyen törékeny ez az alternatíva, azt az oroszok és az amerikaiak által megkötött szíriai „békeszerződés” kudarca világosan mutatja.)</span></p></p>\n"

Az a meggyőződés, hogy nevük és cselekedetük („örök időkre”) elrettentő és irigylésre méltó tettként vésődik be az emberiség emlékezetébe. Ha ez a perspektíva elvész, a terrorizmusnak is befellegzett. Az ugyanis kevésbé valószínű, hogy ezek a mobiltelefonokon lógó fiatalok ma is annyira mélyen hihessenek a szűzlányokkal benépesített túlvilágban, hogy egyetlen életüket, valamiféle középkorinál középkoribb naivitással, pusztán hipotetikus paradicsomi örömökért dobják el maguktól.</span></p>\n
\n
<p><span style="color:#48484a;display:block;font-family:nerislight;font-size:16px;line-height:20px;margin-bottom:19px;text-align:left;">Hogy a szóban forgó terroristában a lét végső értelme omlott össze, azt öngyilkossága is jelzi. Egy terrorista nem lehet – amúgy l'art pour l'art – öngyilkos. Mindent ki kell bírnia, hogy egyszer majd mégiscsak „értelmesen” pusztíthassa el önmagát. Csakis a sajátjaiban való végletes csalódottság és magány bírhatta rá az immár valóban „értelmetlen” tettre.</span></p>\n
\n
<p><span style="color:#48484a;display:block;font-family:nerislight;font-size:16px;line-height:20px;margin-bottom:19px;text-align:left;">Számomra megdöbbentő, hogy a német média a terrorizmus megfékezésének reális lehetőségét a másik három szíriai tettében és annak – az adott eseten túlmutató – következményeiben képtelen kitapintani. Ezek az emberek ugyanis bizonyosan nem (de legalábbis nem pusztán) félelemből tették ártalmatlanná a terroristát. A köztük lappangó dzsihadisták határtalan gyűlöletétől ugyanis jóval inkább kell félniük, mint a jogállami korlátok által féken tartott német rendfenntartók keménységétől. Következésként csakis valamiféle meggyőződésből cselekedhettek. Ezt a meggyőződést kellene a német társadalomnak a muszlim származásúak lelkében „nagyra növelni”.</span></p>\n
\n
<p><span style="color:#48484a;display:block;font-family:nerislight;font-size:16px;line-height:20px;margin-bottom:19px;text-align:left;">Ez azonban csak akkor válik tényleg lehetségessé, ha a német állam a muszlim vallást, az arab nyelveket és kultúrákat a keresztény vallásokkal, a német nyelvvel és kultúrával valóban egyenértékűnek tekinti, és a többnyelvűséget, a más kultúrákban való jártasságot követendő példaként fogadja el. Ilyen körülmények közt az egymás közvetlen szomszédságában élő gyerekek (ahogy az Erdélyben hosszú évszázadokon át történt) a másik nyelvét és kultúráját is spontán módon, csaknem anyanyelvi szinten és szinte már észrevétlenül sajátíthatják el.</span></p>\n

<p><span style="color:#48484a;display:block;font-family:nerislight;font-size:16px;line-height:20px;margin-bottom:19px;text-align:left;">Ez esetben az együttélő közösségek második-harmadik generációja már ugyanúgy nem fog emlékezni a korábbi gyűlölködésre, mint a mai protestánsok és a katolikusok.
