<html><body><p><b>Régen az emberek azzal poénkodtak, hogy a </b><b><i>Barátok Közt</i></b><b>nek sosem lesz vége. Mivel ez mégis bekövetkezett, módosítanék a szóláson: a Marvel-univerzumnak sosem lesz vége. Csak ez járt a fejemben, amíg a </b><b><i>Doctor Strange az őrület multiverzumában</i></b><b> című horrort néztem Sam Raimi rendezésében. Akkor úgy éreztem, hogy annak a filmnek sem lesz vége már soha.</b></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Bár szeretek néhány Marvel-filmet, nem vagyok a moziverzum rajongója. Vannak olyan filmek, amiket még nem is láttam. Eldöntöttem, nem is akarom. Leginkább azzal indokolnám a döntést, hogy a franchise-oknak egy idő után leáldozik a csillaga. Ami nem megy, azt nem kell erőltetni, jóból is megárt a sok, és a többi és a többi. Másik érvem az lenne, hogy hiába nézek új alkotást a Marveltől, ha a tizenöt évvel ezelőtti film csattanóját nem ismerem. Egyre több az áthallás.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Elveim ellenére az új Doctor Strange-filmnek az előzetes alapján bizalmat szavaztam. Tetszett a látványvilág, a Wanda Maximoffnak, a Skarlát Boszorkánynak (angolul Scarlet Witch, a karaktert Elizabeth Olsen személyesíti meg a vásznon) szentelt hosszabb játékidő és a multiverzum koncepciója. Nem tudom, mikor tört meg bennem a lelkesedés, de – töredelmesen és tettetett szégyenérzettel megvallva – valamikor azelőtt, hogy elaludtam volna a moziban. Nem lenne ez a film elég pörgős, akciódús, hogy ébren tartson? Sőt, túlságosan pörgős és akciódús volt ahhoz, hogy bármi értelmét is lássam a történéseknek. Azt éreztem, a látvány kompenzáció, az akció pedig pótcselekvés. Magam előtt láttam (talán álmomban?) a forgatókönyvírót és a rendezőt, amint azon tanakodnak, mit tudjanak kezdeni ezzel a közkedvelt karakterrel. Elvégre kell egy új film. A rajongók ráharapnak, meg is eszik. De mi legyen a film témája? Téma megvan, multiverzum, milyen eredeti ötlet! Sőt, a végére is kitaláltunk valami csavart, ami miatt muszáj lesz nézni a következő produkciót. De akkor legyen még valami új, nyűgözzük le a közönséget… Legyen a műfaja horror!</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Lássuk be, ez a film nem nevezhető horrornak (esetleg a family-friendly terepen, ami nem fogadható el ténylegesen horrornak). Néhol horrorisztikus jelenetekkel operál, a műfaj egyes elemei fellelhetők benne, mégis: ez látványfilm. Ebből a szemszögből viszont dicséretes a munka, a CGI bámulatos, és így a 2022-es Doctor Strange- film megmutatta, hogy vizuális megvalósításokban már nincs határ.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A sztori kidolgozása ellenben korántsem ennyire értékelendő. Megjelent egy új karakter, America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez), aki tulajdonképpen csak eszköz volt a történet elindításához. Ez a lány akaratán kívül utazik univerzumról univerzumra, és ezt a képességet használná ki Wanda, aki a mágiája által teremtett gyermekeivel szeretne ismét együtt lenni. A főgonoszi tervet megakadályozandó, a szüleitől elszakadt fiatal, nagy erejű lányt Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) karolja fel, aki nemcsak Christine (Rachel McAdams) iránti szerelmi béklyóiból képtelen szabadulni, hanem önmaga sötét oldalától is. Ez a kijelentés talán sokat ígérőnek hat, pedig csak arról van szó, hogy a végtelen számú, így megszámlálhatatlan lehetőséggel bíró világok között egy sem akad, amelyben nem szembesítenék a főhőst azzal, hogy ő a legönteltebb figura messze bármely univerzumban. Ebből kifolyólag Christine egyik világban sem lehet a párja. Hogy el ne felejtsük, ez azért van, mert Strange önző. És ezt a néző egy percre sem feledheti el. Egyszerűen nem engedték meg neki a szereplők.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A multiverzum, jó szokásához híven, kimeríthetetlen alternatíváiból villant fel néhányat. Így kelthette életre Doctor Strange önmaga zombi mását, így lett tényező egy Marvel-filmben az alternatív Illuminati és így lepődhettünk meg, hogy az Office sorozat közkedvelt szereplője, Jim (John Krasinski) a Fantasztikus Négyes egyik tagjaként jelent meg a vásznon.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Mivel az MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) sosem hal meg, kisebb ferdítéssel mondhatjuk, hogy a filmnek nincs vége. A konfliktusok közül csak néhány oldódott fel, újak születtek, Marvel-szokáshoz híven pedig a </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">post-credits</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;"> részben éppen a kialakuló bonyodalom szemtanúi lehettünk.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A film személyes ízlésem ingerküszöbét meg sem súrolta, viszont objektíven tekintve is vannak hibái. Csökkentett futamidővel talán jobban sikerült volna – lefaragnék az elnyújtott akciójelenetekből és az „utálunk, mert csak magadra gondolsz Strange” típusú monológokból. Vagy a karakterekre kellett volna jobban figyelni. Esetleg történetmesélés szempontjából „horrorosabb horrort” alkotni, ha már ezt jelölték meg műfajként. És az sem ártott volna, ha ebből a filmből kimarad a tipikus tucatgyártott karakter, aki túl fiatalon tapasztal meg családi tragédiát, hihetetlen erők birtokosa, ugyanakkor bizonytalan, és eleinte nem tudja kontrollálni a képességét.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Ajánlom ezt a filmet mindenkinek, aki rajong a Marvel-moziverzumért, és a filmeik legalább kilencven százalékát látta. Izgalmas lehet mindazoknak, akik a látványfilmek szerelmesei, mert ilyen téren nem lehet kritizálni a produkciót. Sőt, a horror leginkább a látvány szintjén valósul meg.
